College Football 27 Mobile - Patch Notes September 18th

A brand new update for EA SPORTS™ College Football Mobile is rolling out now, focusing on changes, tweaks and improvements to gameplay, and an all around increase in game stability.

As always, we want to give a huge thanks to our dedicated community who frequently assist in giving detailed bug reports and constructive feedback regarding the game.

Below you can find a list of all the fixes and changes in the latest version of EA SPORTS™ College Football Mobile.

Timing-Based Catching

  • You can now enable timing-based catching, just like in the console game. 
    • This uses the same mechanic, giving you more control over the outcome of catches based on your input timing.

Simplified Controls

  • We’ve added a simplified control option that removes some actions and on-screen buttons to make the control scheme easier to learn and navigate. 
    • You’ll notice the biggest difference on defense, where the number of available actions has been reduced.

We’ve also added two new pre-play features:

  • Flip Play
    • On offense, you can now flip your play before the snap by selecting View Play and then Flip Play.
  • Tap to Switch
    • On defense, you can now tap directly on a defender to switch to that player during pre-play. Once the ball is snapped, controls return to the normal behavior, where tapping elsewhere on the screen switches you to the nearest defender.

Defensive Controls

  • Finally, with the addition of Simplified Controls, we’ve made a change to the standard defensive controls as well. 
    • The Assist button has been replaced with a dedicated Switch Player button. 
    • This gives players who prefer using a button instead of tapping elsewhere on the screen a consistent location for switching defenders and makes it easier to build muscle memory.

Update Now, And Get Back In The Game!

The update should be rolling out now, so keep an eye out for the update notification in your app store, and update your app to the latest version as soon as you’re able.
